Refund Policy
Refund Policy (2025-26 Season)
The Moncton Basketball Association (MBA) provides the following refund policy to ensure fairness and
clarity for all participants.
How to Request a Refund
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to: executivedirector@monctonbasketball.ca
- Refunds are based on the stage of the season at the time the written request is received.
- A $20 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds.
- Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of approval.
Refund Schedule
- Before teams are formed: 100% refund of registration fees (minus $20 processing fee).
- Within one week after teams are formed: 75% refund of registration fees (minus $20 processing
fee). - From one week after teams are formed until the first league game: 50% refund of registration fees
(minus $20 processing fee). - After the first league game has been played: No refunds will be issued.
Special Notes
- For U7 and U9 divisions, the Jr. NBA program fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from any
refund. - Refunds apply regardless of whether a player has participated in practices or games.
- Refund requests will not be accepted verbally (e.g., through coaches). Written notice by email is
required. - MBA will not process a refund until written notice has been received.
Exceptions
In extraordinary circumstances (such as injury, relocation, or other reasons approved by the MBA
Executive), refund requests outside these timelines may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
